I grew up in Oakland and attended Bishop O’Dowd High School. I helped start the Women’s Soccer program at O’Dowd, a program that continues today. I also rowed for the Lake Merritt Rowing Club
I graduated from U.C. Santa Cruz, Stevenson College with a B.A. in English Literature. While my focus was not exclusively on pre-modern drama and feminist theory, I included several works from this era as well as Latin-American literature and writings from the ex-pats during the early 20th Century as part of the collection of works I presented for my graduating orals.
I am an avid knitter, run regularly after a two year hiatus, and love to travel. My music and my book collections are eclectic as you can see from my Picks List.
